Living Legends/Eligh-Underground Hip-Hop/Indie-Rap

Living Legends are an underground hip-hop group made up of 8 rappers out of California. According to the bio in Wikipedia, The group is considered by LA Weekly to be "One of the biggest success stories of the Indie-Rap movement...having sold close to 300,000 units of their various solo and group efforts-all-by-them-d***-selves." (exact quote. Please excuse the language.) The Living Legends crew originally started with the Mystik Journeymen. In 1994 they began to really gain their popularity. Most of this popularity came from their own hard work with selling tapes on the street and holding and performing shows in East Oakland. In 1995, Mystik Journeymen which was comprised of artists, BFAP or "Brother from another Plant" or also, Sunspot Jonz, and PSC-Pushin Suckas Conscious, also known now as LuckyIAM, met up with The Grouch. With this new duo, they performed in several funded tours until 1996 when they met 3 Melancholy Gypsies out of Los Angeles. The three bands soon after formed Living Legends. Since the formation, the crew also includes artists: Bicasso, Aesop, and Arata.

Living Legends discography is huge. One of the sickest things about them is that they have done SO MUCH. There's so much to listen to. Check it out friends...HERE'S. THE. LIST.

Eligh, a songwriter, record producer and artist is a member of the band and has done some of his own stuff. Basically, he's a baller and that's why I'm including him in this profile. Eligh's music is straight hood. You will absolutely love it. He has a few albums. But, my favorite is definitely his latest: "Grey Crow". Some sick tracks are, "Angel of Death", "When I'm a Dad", and "Shine".
