In 2002, they released their debut album, "The Big Come Up"and later, two singles released as an EP, "Leavin' Trunk" and "She said, She said", both cover songs. In 2008, their single, "breaks" was featured in the motion picture, "RocknRolla" (HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE BY THE BY!) In 2003, they released "Thickfreakness" which also featured singles that were used in the popular FX TV show: Sons of Anarchy and others featured in movie soundtracks such as: School of Rock and I Love You, Man.
Their third album, "Rubber Factory" was released in 2004 and featured many popular artists and singles featured in many movies and TV shows. Something cool about this album is that it was in fact, recorded in an old abandoned factory. In addition to this album release, the band also released their first live album, "Live" in Sydney, Australia and opened for many bands during the year including: Pearl Jam, Beck, and Radiohead.
Between the years of 2006 and 2007, the band released a couple EP's including cover songs and other treats. Later, their fourth album, "Magic Potion" was released and as the first album being a part of Nonesuch Records. Many of the singles on this album were again featured in many different movies and TV shows and also, video games. Their fifth album, "Attack and Release" was released in 2008 and included their hit single, "I Got Mine". Shortly after, a collaborative album featuring hip-hop artists such as: Mos Def, Ludacris, RZA, and ODB was released. "Blakroc" was recorded in New York and was one of their favorite accomplishments. Their next album, "Brothers" is probably the one that most people know them for if they are at all familiar with them. "Brothers" was released in 2010 and features their most popular single, "Howlin' For You". This single gained it's popularity from the soundtrack of the motion picture, "Limitless".
In December of 2010, The band was nominated for four Grammy Awards including, Best Rock Song and Best Alternative Album. "Brothers" was also placed at #2 in the Rolling Stones Best Albums of 2010. In addition to this, Spin Magazine nominated them the Best Artist of 2010. They currently work on their new album, "El Camino".
