FM Static-Pop Punk

FM Static is a band out of Toronto signed by "Tooth & Nail Records". It is a two piece band that was just a side project formed in 2003 by Trevor McNevan and Steve Augustine. Originally, it was John Bunner and Justin Smith until they left in 2005. While touring from 2003-2005, they released their first album, "What Are You Waiting For? "This album featured their first hit singles: "Definitely Maybe", "Crazy Mary" and "Something to Believe In". In 2006, they released their second full album, "Critically Ashamed". This album featured their single: "Waste of Time". This was a hit but their real popularity came from the internet release of their singles, "Tonight" and "Moment of Truth". Along with lots of radio play, the two songs received millions of hits on Youtube. "Tonight" receiving over 13 million and "Moment of Truth" receiving over 9 million. The band did not tour due to John and Justin leaving.  Their studio album, "Dear Diary" was released in 2009 and actually deals with the story of a boy facing the difficulties of life. His struggles with faith and love are told through his personal diary entries. Soon after, FM Static went on tour again in 2009 as part of the Creation Festival Tour. Their fourth studio album was released in April of this year titled: "My Brain Says Stop, But My Heart Says Go!" The single, "Last Train Home" is one of the more popular.
